In 2008 we were again asked to prepare a design for converting the old administration building into a new libaray. The gull wing shape reflects the shape of the new admin building roof. | CONIFER GROVE PRIMARY SCHOOL An old 1960's single storey Administration block was cold damp and not a good work environment. We were commisioned to design a two storey concrete construction administration with a top floor staff room. A unique feature is the sweeping staircase that rises up through the double height atrium space. | ASDAH HIGH SCHOOL - MANGERE Designed to lift the profile of the school. Features include:- Change facilities for visiting schools both for indoor and outdoor sports. A full kitchen/tuck shop, ticket room, sound/light control room, several classrooms and offices, full size basketball and badminton courts TAUHOA PRIMARY SCHOOL We were inspired by the proximity of the beautiful Kiapara Harbour conjuring up images of dinghys and seagulls. The base buildings were designed economically to fit a tight budget leaving money to be spent where it provided the best impact on the evocative verandahs. These verandahs provided much needed shade from the north sun. MAYFIELD PRIMARY SCHOOL - EAST TAMAKI
We were the successful architects selected after a limited design competition on this largely polynesian populated school. Our proposal incorporated an upside down 'waka' over the public & student entries. Supporting columns defined the tips of the waka & marked the entry points. The school requested architecture to reflect the high Polynesian population of the school. The new administration block contained staff room, work room, sick bay, meeting rooms, principal's office, reception and toilets. Budget for construction $390,000 + GST. Completion September 2002
SUNNYHILLS PRIMARY SCHOOL - PAKURANGA
We designed a new music suite extension to the existing hall, with the option of indoor & outdoor performances. A new administration refurbishment was also undertaken. |
